I am 55. Haven't been here since I was 12. Was my birthday and I always wanted to go in but we could never afford to go. Lived outside of st Louis. Now I'm here and still can't afford to get in. Now I'm homless and mothers has gone now doubt 12 years. I left instructions for my ashes to be laid there after I'm gone. But now I'm the last. And won't be able to enter then either. Been in St Louis for near a year. And not to my surprise I find the same thing I have found every place I have been in the last ten years of homelessness . Absolutely no help to not be homeless and plenty of help to remain homless. And I fear it will be some time before I can afford to enter the gate of the dead. But at best I can see it from the outside.

Let me say this clearly: if you came to St. Louis and made it all the way to the Missouri Botanical Garden without stepping into the Climatron, you missed the crown jewel. This is not some random greenhouse β itβs the worldβs first geodesic dome greenhouse, one of the most iconic attractions in St. Louis, and easily one of the most unforgettable parts of the Missouri Botanical Garden. We visited in March, when many outdoor gardens are still quiet and waiting for spring to fully arrive. Coming from Houston, the weather in St. Louis felt a little chilly to us. But the moment you walk into the Climatron, everything changes instantly. The air becomes warm and humid, the lush greenery surrounds you, and suddenly it feels like youβve stepped straight into a tropical rainforest in the middle of Missouri. Inside this massive glass dome greenhouse, youβll find an incredible collection of tropical plants and flowers from around the world. Towering palms, vibrant bromeliads, exotic foliage, orchids, and dense rainforest vegetation create layers of greenery that make the entire environment feel immersive and alive. What makes the Climatron especially fascinating is the architectural design

The climatron is a fantastic spot in the Missouri Botanical Gardens. It is a geodesic dome that contains a tropical rainforest, complete with waterfalls, palm trees, and other tropical plants. The exterior is especially beautiful during the Garden Glow over the holidays

The Climatron is definitely one place you donβt want to miss when you visit the Botanical Gardens! It is the closest we will ever get to visiting the Rain Forest! One big plus is there are no snakes or spiders in the Climatron. There are several waterfalls in the building too! We enjoyed looking at all the exotic trees and plants on our excursion into the wild! #summerbucketlist
